We have many of the same issues in our house too. My hubby is a doer, a nonstop doer. Has to be doing something ALL the time. I'm more of a stay at home person. I need my space and alone time and I'm happy at home. We have many "agree to disagree" situations.

But, we move on because we do love each other and as you said, everyone is different.

Hey! I'm really liking this article. I was wondering if you could write something on how teachers could better deal with children with Asperger's, in the context that the student is in a class of many other students, many with their own individual needs. I'm a student teacher and I'm a bit concerned about it!

I'm VERY proud of Chandler! I went thru my parents' divorce at the age she did and then remarriage of my dad, etc and battled weight at Chandler's current age! If only I had the EAS Sports Active then! Although, it's also her drive & determination to change because just owning the right equipment doesn't do anything for you...you have to use it! GOOD FOR YOU, Chandler! And congrats on the honors classes! Sounds like YOU are a real champion!! :-)

Very nice article that I think does honor your step-daughter and recognizes the difficulty of the circumstances she's had in her short life. Nothing builds rapport like understanding another's situation.
